Thank you for completing the Active Paws application.
After reviewing your information, we’re happy to invite you and your dog to the next step in the onboarding process — the Meet & Greet.
This short visit allows us to get to know each other and ensure that Active Paws is the right fit for both you and your dog.
What Is the Meet & Greet?
The Meet & Greet is a brief visit at your home where we will:
• Meet you and your dog
• Learn more about your dog’s personality, routines, and needs
• Review how the Active Paws pack walking program works
• Answer any questions you may have
• Collect keys or access instructions if needed
• Provide the Active Paws Welcome Package
This visit helps ensure your dog is comfortable and sets the foundation for a successful walking relationship.
What Happens After the Meet & Greet?
If your dog is a good fit for the program, the next step will be Pack Prep.
Pack Prep includes individual walks designed to:
• build confidence
• introduce your dog to our walking structure
• prepare them for group pack walks
This preparation allows dogs to transition into pack walks safely and confidently.
Preparing for the Visit
To help the Meet & Greet run smoothly, please:
• Ensure your dog is at home during the visit
• Allow your dog to greet naturally (no need for formal training demonstrations)
• Have any questions ready that you’d like to discuss
The Meet & Greet is relaxed and informal — its purpose is simply to begin building trust and understanding.
Important Note
The Meet & Greet is part of the Active Paws screening process.
While most dogs move forward to Pack Prep, this visit also allows us to ensure that pack walking is the right environment for your dog.
Our goal is always to create safe, balanced pack groups for every dog in our care.
